I’ll make this quick, because the faster you make this smoothie and get it in your belly, the better! Honestly, this smoothie is probably the best I’ve ever made, in my humble opinion. It is the perfect consistency due to the avocado, a beautiful color, and has a delicious, fresh taste due to the ginger, greens, and mango. It is perfect.
Best Green Smoothie
Serves 1 hungry person
1/2 cup almond or coconut milk
5-7 brazil nuts, or cashews if you’d like
1/4 of an avocado
big handful and a half of spinach
3 leaves of chard, stems removed (I used rainbow chard)
1/2 frozen pineapple
1/2 frozen mango
1 apple, nectarine, or peach
Fresh ginger, to taste
Topping: chia seeds, chopped brazil nuts, slivered almonds, coconut flakes, coconut shreds, etc
Pour almond milk into a blender. Add brazil nuts, ginger, avocado, pineapple, mango, apple, chard and spinach. Cover with blender lid and blend to combine. If the blender stops turning, add a little more milk. If you taste too much ginger, add more mango or half a banana.
It’s as simple as that!
