Avo-nana Smoothie

Hiya everybody!Unfortunately, I blog to you sick. Sick as in super duper allergic to pollen, sneezy, coughing, and all that great stuff. It really is fun to not be able to go outside and take tons of allergy medication! Yay!

Just kidding. Soo kidding.

Anyways, I’m super tired due to the above sickness and have decided to save my cookie recipe for the weekend. Today, however, I will blog my favorite smoothie of the moment for you. It contains avocado, banana, blackberries, strawberries, blueberries, raspberries, and an apple! Yum!

This smoothie is incredibly easy, filling, and packed with antioxidants, good fats, and fiber! I also love adding some slivered almonds and raisin bran on top to give it a nice crunch! Also, this smoothie is one I prefer to eat with a spoon, as it is so thick and luscious, almost like sorbet!







Alright, recipe time. But you can hardly call this a recipe, it is so easy.

Avo-nana Smoothie

Makes two to three glasses (depending on how much you want)

1 medium banana

half an avocado

an apple (I like Pink Lady or Fuji)

2 and half to three cups of frozen berries (I’d use fresh, but they aren’t quite in season yet here)

1/2 cup soy milk, almond milk, or coconut milk

Optional: a handful or two of spinach or 1/2 cup baby carrots

Alright, basically throw everything in your blender! I’d make sure your liquid gets down to the blade so you don’t have that empty whirring sound we experienced once. That was kind of scary. For a blender, I personally use the vitamix and love it.

When your smoothie is done (try not to over-blend, leave it kind of thick), put it in a bowl or glass and sprinkle almonds and granola on top! Then, enjoy!
